48V Suzuki Smart Hybrid Technology

The 48V Suzuki Smart Hybrid Technology consists of a 48V ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) with electric motor function, a 48V lithium-ion battery and a 48-12V DC/DC converter. While the system prioritizes fuel efficiency in normal driving conditions, when the driver wants to accelerate suddenly, it uses one of two functions (Torque Control or Torque Boost) and works like an electric motor - adding torque to the engine torque. In addition, the ISG, which acts like an electric motor, activates a fuel cut-off function by increasing the engine's idle speed during deceleration. Idle fuel cut-off improves fuel efficiency.

LESS EXPENSES
According to the official NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) average city fuel consumption, the hybrid consistently improves fuel economy by 22%. *How? The hybrid system provides electric assistance to the gasoline engine under certain conditions, allowing it to use less fuel. The system features an integrated starter generator (ISG) that acts as a starter when the engine stops automatically (for example, at a traffic light). Engine restart is smoother and quieter than in cars with conventional starters.
